Transfer Station

  • Transfer station permits are issued through the Selectmen's Office and at the Transfer Station. Click here for the 2026-2027 Kent Transfer Station Permit Application which includes a link to pay for the PERMIT online.  Bags must be paid/picked up in person at Selectmen's Office or at the Transfer Station.

The Town of Kent Transfer Station is a service to town residents that provides a one-stop-shop for all your recycling and solid waste needs. To use the facility, residents must have a permit which can be purchased through the First Selectman’s office or at the Transfer Station during operating hours.

The Town is a member of the Housatonic Resource Recovery Authority (HRRA), a regional, governmental waste management and recycling authority serving fourteen municipalities in western Connecticut and a population of over 266,000 people.
